1. Parents and stretching. How did your parents take when they found out/whatever the scenerio was? My parents refuse to let me switch.

2. Does the placement of the piercing really matter? Also, would it be alright to go down to a piercing shop and get pierced at, like, a 12g? Not that I'll be able to, cause my parents don't understand.

P.S. Do I blog too much?

1. Mom was upset for like 5 seconds before she got over it, and now she doesn't care and kind of even likes them. I won't go into dad

2. Sort of, it matters if you pierce too far down on your lobe. I assume you're only talking about ears. When talking about non-ear piercings, however, placement matters very much, as to avoid blood vessels and stuff.

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised, it seems a lot of people have parents that just respect their body mods. My mom is constantly telling me that if I ever do any modification, she'll probably die. I doubt that, but I atleast wish she'd support me. Nothing seems to work. I've made multiple powerpoints, and so many discussions ending in me stomping to my room. I just don't understand why she doesn't respect what I want. Help?

Some people just aren't open to the idea of body modification, even though you seem to have gone about asking in a very mature way. I'd say to let them know that it is your body and you are still interested in stretching, and will most likely do so in a few years (i.e. when you move out, go to college, etc.) and would like their support.

Or do like a lot of us and do it anyway. I cannot be responsible for any bodily harm that may come to you as a result however

Just do it, you're a teenager, you're supposed to ignore your parents and do what you want anyway. Of course it's immature, but no one really expects you to be mature at your age
