Hello, I have had my inches in since the middle of december, almost 9 months now. I finally decided it was time to move up, especially with the growing amount of people deciding to stretch up. I went out on monday and bought a pair of 1 1/8 inch scilicone tunnels, they are not the super flembsy ones. At the moment of excitement and stupidity i put them in using only H2Ocean spray as a lubricant, both on my ears and the plugs. Also may i put that the only reason i got these was because one, its all i could afford, and two i have stretched with scilicone from 3/4 to 7/8 way back in time. After putting them in i had the regular slight sting that usually comes with stretching up and nothing else, so i figured i was golden. A few hours later when i got home i realized my ears were progressively hurting more, and could start feeling my heartbeat due to the swelling. Before bed I took them out, cleaned them and my lobes, and then do what i usually do, rub in vitamin e lotion and then "plug" my lobes up with the lotion for awhile to let them soak up the moisture. That morning my lobes were still a little sore but not unbearable, so i used the lotion for a lubricant and back inn went my plugs. That day i stupidly left them in all day until later that night when i realized my stupidity. When taking out my left plug my lobe skin had started attaching itslef to the plug, causing a rip all along the upper paart of my lobe (pretty damn painful). My right ear did not sustain such damage and as it is still mildly sore it does not compare and in my opinion is actually healing alright. My question is what should i do now. I am doing my lotion treatment about 3 times a day to both ears and also for my left ear applying a fragrace free antibacterial creme to help against infection. I dont neccesarily want to down size, unless its only to an inch at the most. Is there a way i can make my scilicone plugs safer for me? should i just take my left ear back down to an inch for a couple of months? And is my lotion and anti bacterial cream good for me, or is it having a negative effective? Thank you for taking the time out to read this all

The best way to heal from rips and tears is to do sea salt soaks. Mix no more than 1/4 teaspoon sea salt per one cup hot water, and soak your ears for 5-10 minutes once or twice a day. Putting lotion, oils, etc. on injured tissue can be harmful because it traps bacteria, and the rubbing can really irritate them.
You should definitely downsize to take the pressure off your lobes, ad you really need a better material than silicone in there.

im also use an anti bacterial cream before and after the lotion. Does it have to be sea salt? Thank you for taking the time out to read my large post.

yes, non iodized sea salt (that's important). you can find it in most grocery stores for a couple bucks

Thank you for your help :) i decided to go back down to an inch for awhile :/ but they do feel alot better. Im getting sea salt tonight, but dont think im discouraged, inch and an quarter is my dream. Ill just save up until i can get some steel internally threaded tunnels at 1 1/8 inch and i already have a spare set of plugs for when i get there :) and when it finally comes time to stretch up i will have learned from my mistake before. Thanks again :)
