I get so tired of reading how people think their ears heal faster than everyone elses .. I get tired of people thinking their ears are totally healed just cause they arent pouring blood and puss .. let me explain something about the human body .. I have had 3 major abdominal surgeries . each time my outer incision would heal within a week but rest assured the inner part takes over a year to fully heal ...just because the cut was shut and my guts werent falling out didnt mean that my surgery was healed .. and just because your ears dont look bloody does not mean the inside tissues are healed ... just a fact I though everyone should know .... just becuase it looks ok an the outside DOES NOT mean its totally healed

Completely unrelated but how was the healing process for the abdominal surgeries? I'm having a laproscopy or something like that. It's gonna be a small incision near my belly button. Ever had anything like that?

Hahaha, so true! Lots of people can't be assed to research anything before they decide to do it.
I mean, stretching and tattoos and stuff.... You could get such nasty infections. Sigh.

I have had 2 surgeries laproscopicly and honestly I bruised very heavily with them much more so than my most recent open abdomen surgery .. pain wise with meds its manageable for me it was much less painful than I had anticipated .. but you will want to be in bed for at least a few days take it very easy ...and it was probably a good 3 or 4 months before I felt like lifting anything more than a milk jug .. although I know others that are back to work in 2 weeks .. I think alot of it has to do with what they are doing while they are in there , what is being removed etc ... I personally had my surgeries for Fibroid tumors , I also had a ( myomectomy De Vinic robot assisted ) and then most recently TAH .. so there were alot of problems going on that added to my recovery time .. I have friends that had lapro surgery for like gal bladder and recovered quite fast

Yeah, that drives me crazy too. That and "well I stretched fast and I never had any problems!" Okay, maybe that's true in like 5% of people, but for the most part if you stretch fast you WILL have catbutt, at the very least. I guess by "never had any problems" they mean their lobe never split in half.

Plenty of people do this, understood, but condoning them does nothing. If they need help give them help. Sometimes they just wanna speak in a forum to people they dont know, let them speak. Its not that bad and shouldnt effect you like so. If you think about it, its not a B.D.

actually the percentage is much more than 5...some people literally have to wait months on months just to stretch to the next size some can actually wait a month or less...why does that make you upset? the human body is amazing and can actually work miracles...im at 10mm and have only been stretching for 6 months i believe with no cat butt no blowouts am i lucky nope...i just simply know when my ears are ready for the next step

it doesnt make me upset that they did it, it just annoys me the way they usually act about it ,its hard to type with out sounding Bitchy or dumb ,them just saying because something doesnt hurt that its healed gets ... it on my nerves .I was trying to give the example that after surgery my skin was healed but if I lifted like 30 lbs my inside tissues and muscle would rip .. like just cause your ear is not bloody doesnt mean it can withstand the pressure of stretching .. I dont know if that makes since in type .. I dont mean Im mad at them its just annoying to read the same thing over and over ... I am also a strong believer in doing whats best for the long term of your lobes just cause your ear can survive stretching fast doesnt mean its going to stay looking healthy years from now ..

and Im not singling anyone out but Ive read so many times stories that start with someone saying " my ears heal so much faster than everyone elses .. I went from fresh piercing to 0 in 3 weeks but now Im here with a problem and I dont understand cause everything has been fine up till now ...


well it hasnt been fine its been a ticking time bomb ...

then they say how they " intend to stretch up in another week no matter what everyone else advises them "

I guess I just read a few to many stories like that and wanted to something

again Im really not trying to be preachy cause I didnt stretch perfectly in the beginning .. you can read my posts and find out how I started ... Im not perfect .. but Im also not advising people to make my same mistakes just because I survived it

If they really want to screw up their piercings, there isn't really anything you can do. :/

no one wants to screw up their piercing/stretches/tattoos. advice is simply given to help people prevent screw ups.
