Hey I'm due to have surgery in October. What type of plugs would be safe to wear under the knife? I'm at an 8g and I got them done in july

Where on your body are you having surgery performed? If it's on your face/neck/around your ears you may have to take them out.
I would assume surgically grade steel or glass would be best, but ive never thought about it affecting an operation so im not positive. Any one else have an answer?
i would ask your doctor beforehand if its ok to keep them in your ears during surgery or soon after its over.

I'll be having a breast reduction so I'll be on my back. Would it be alright if I left them out until after the surgery?

It really depends on the hospital and the doctor.
I've always had to take my oral/nose jewellery out (because of breathing/tubes/etc), as well as any 'in the way bits' No navel piercings when they're cutting your belly open, ha!
Some doctors are just fussier though. But there isn't any real reason you should need to, (even if they were worried about pulling bits out, medical tape would suffice)
Unless they take scans whilst your out, theres not any reason you can't wear metal jewellery, I did for a few surgeries (no time to change jewelleries then!). But plastic/silicone is always a nice idea for clumsy people. Even though its not really possible, the idea of electric shocks/metal jewellery freaks me out a little.. But I think being dead is probably much more of a valid worry in that case XD
