another 'bleeding ear' topic...

im new here, so hi guys.

i have had my ears pierced for a half of year now, and i started stretching over a month ago. but i have a problem... i went up to 5mm three days ago, and today i decided to go up to 6mm. i know - stupid, but it did it, so please dont tell me im an idiot cause i already know that.

anyway, the reason i did so quickly was the fact that I DIDNT FEEL A THING when i changed my 4mm plugs to 5mm. i remember when i was starting stretching there was a stinging sensation and ear lobes were slightly red, no bleeding occured though. so because there wasnt any pain / stinging when i went up to 5mm i thought they're ready to go... anyway, right now ive got a 6mm tunnel in my right ear and SO FAR it seems okay, although it is stinging a bit, but no blowouts / blood / puss whatsover, so i hope the ear will adjust itself nicely. but my left ear lobe worries me, because when i removed taper to put in a tunnel, there was some blood. not a lot, but there it was. i felt some pain when i was pushing the taper in, but it wasnt a big deal - once again, i thought it should sting a bit.

so now i got a 6mm tunnel healing inside my right ear lobe (FINGERS CROSSED ITLL HEAL OK!) and i decided to leave 6mm taper in my left ear, only because i need to have something in this ear anyway and since the damage has been done already, id like to let it heal around 6mm taper rather than 5mm one.

i gotta say so far i have been quite lucky, beacuse there were no blowouts and ears healed quickly, but i fucked it up today :/

anyway, the question is can i leave the 6mm taper and 6mm tunnel in my ears until they heal? im asking because before i got a set of tapers i was sold a big spiral (around 5mm) by some idiot in a shop and he was like 'yeah dude you will go from zero to the end of it in 10 days or so!' and when i tried to put it in i fucked up my ears and there was some bleeding too, but they healed fine.

i know im an idiot but please someone tell me its gonna be okay and im not gonna die and my ears wont fall off or something -_-

alright, so i downsized to 5mm for now. i put the tapers in rather than plugs, as the lobes are pretty sore and it was easier to put tapers in to avoid any further stress / damaga when insterting plugs. i cleand them with antibacterial soap and spray, and lets hope they will heal fine. i think depending on how well theyll be healing ill wait around 10 days before stretching to 6mm again.

the main factor that made me decide to downsize was when i realised i went from 1.6 to 6mm in 25 days. that was stupid. so yeah, lets hope they heal fine.

You need to replace the tapers with plugs. Tapers are never meant to be worn as jewelry, only tools. Just stay at 5 mm for at least a month, doing sea salt soaks and gently washing with anti-bacterial/anti-microbial soap then after a couple weeks remove the jewelry and massage your lobes with some vitamin e oil. Try stretching again in about 6 weeks( or longer)

I would strongly encourage you to go back to 1.6mm and let your ears heal completely (2-6 months), then stretch, one size at a time, giving yourself at least 6-8 weeks between each stretch. That will give you the best chances of healing well.
