Hey, longtime no post! Anyway, I'm up to 6g now and I got higher gauge plugs from friends for Xmas. The problem is that they didn't get me any stretching tool also, so I'll have to tape up. I've tried taping before (to make my ears looser before a stretch) and the tape is always pushed off the plug by the tightness of my ear! I always lube up and don't put an excess amount of ptfe tape, but the problem doesn't seem to go away /= I don't know what to do and soon I'll HAVE to tape up, any ideas guys?
Any answers appreciated!

PTFE tape is great for taping but kind of flimsy in my opinion, bondage tape is another alternative that may stay on the plugs better. It's recommended that you don't use adhesive tape, but I use it very very carefully because the glue can do some damage to your lobes or you may have an allergic reaction. I've personally never had any issues with adhesive tape.
