1.) I've got a septum piercing that is currently at a 20g,
and is being held by a staple (20g). I've had it since
November 23, 2011. I would like to stretch it to a 14g.
Basically, what I am asking is, is it a bad stretch to go
up 0.8mm? I've heard the most to stretch for a septum is
1mm, but I don't trust yahoo answers

Also, for those wondering why there is a staple in my septum,
I had a ring in, and I decided I was going to buy one of those
septum retainers that flip inside to hide it. Well, I couldn't
do that, and it was imperative that I hid the septum piercing,
so I just put in a staple, figured I'd switch it out for the
retainer. It's already taken longer than 4 days to get the
damned retainer, so I'm guessing it closed up a little bit...
I know it's not a smart decision, but nothing bad came of it,
minus the bit of closing that occurred, so keep the bitching at
a minimum. =P All my other piercings are being handled with
uber amounts of care.
2.) I'm getting my tongue done this Friday (or Saturday, if
things don't go as planned). I just wanted to make sure I've got
this down right. (Most of this, I've gathered from my last oral
piercings)
1.) Steer clear of consuming anything, except water and
slushies until the swelling dies down.
2.) Keep dental hygiene as usual, but don't brush my tongue.
3.) Clean it with a cleaning solution twice a day (I usually
do 1/10th mouth wash + 9/10th water for my oral piercings)
4.) Hypothetically, I was to smoke (and I probably will) make
sure to rinse my mouth with step 3's solution.
5.) Don't play with it at all until it's completely healed.
6.) Avoid: Spicy food, sour drinks/candy. (Though, I'll probably
consume nothing but green tea, and maybe soup until it's done)
Is that what I should do? Anything else I should add to the list?
