So it's been at least 2 and a half months since my last stretch, my ear is ready, and I have a 5mm tunnel ready and waiting, the problem is that the only stretching device I can get my hands on is a 6mm taper, no one in my city sells 5mm tapers for some reason. Any advice on how to do this without tearing anything or otherwise injuring myself?

Go buy a plug with a rounded end and use that it should stretch itself if your really ready to stretch, leave it in for a week, then change it to the tunnel.

Cheers for that, however I've done something stupid and made my ear bleed slightly, so looks like I'll be chilling at 4mm for another month or so..

Next time try using the taping method.

What kind of 5mm plugs do you have? Like KAISERROLLS said, you shouldn't need a taper if your ears are ready.
