Question regarding Taping Method

Well, I have been taping from 00g for two months now. So I've been wondering, would it be safe to put silicone in, since its not technically stretching with silicone if I have been taping?
New at this forum, go easy on me.

Yes, but only if you have taped up to the size of gauge that the silicone is. Just take your plug or tunnel out and hold it up to the silicone, if its close i would say its fine too, just dont do anything bigger than like half a mm.

its almost up to the full flare, which is 1/2 inch, but the silicone is 7/16th

I would say you're fine then, its it doesnt feel right take it out. And make sure you clean it nearly every day. Good Luck.
