Brass Bullet Casing Gauges???

Is it okay to use Brass? I'm at 3/4" and I'm wanting some 50 Cal plugs, but Iv only been able to find 1 pair on etsy an they aren't quite what I'm looking for so I was thinking of trying to make a pair out of
50 Cal Bullet casings. But I wasn't sure if it'd be safe to use the brass casing in my ear???

Any thoughts?

Re: Brass Bullet Casing Gauges???

Brass is a copper/zinc alloy. Unless you're allergic to either one, you should be OK.
But remember that copper does oxidize, and even a shell casing will do this; so much like dime-store "gold", it can turn your skin green if left in for too long.

For a once in a while wear, I wouldn't see it being an issue.
