Newly forming keloid?

I have had my ears stretched to a 00g for around 5 months now, and have seemingly have no problems with them throught stretching. Only the other day did i notice a small lump formed on the back of my left ear just off the side of my gauge. The lump is small but noticable by touch. I was wondering if it was possible for this to be a keloid, or if its even possible for keloids to form this long after stretching?
I may just be over paranoid about this, but the last thing I want is a giant keloid forming on my ear!
