So hard to wait!

I've had my ear pierced for not quite two months. It's going to be so hard to wait til November/December to start stretching. I got a 16g in right now, so at least it looks better than the studs and the 18g did. It felt snug, but I don't think it really had to "stretch" any. There just isn't a lot of cool stuff for a 16g piercing! I mean yeah, CBR's and circular barbells, but I need to find me some interesting cones and balls to go on the ends of my circ. barbell. Anyone have any ideas or advice to speed up time :). :D

I only waited like 1 month or less i think before i started stretching. I heal fast tho. To pass time between my sizes i planned out my future piercings and then got my snakebites dun an that kept me distracted enuf to where i was ready to stretch by the time i realized i still had ears xD

Re: So hard to wait!

I've always bought nice-looking jewelry in every size... I guess it's kind of a waste of money to buy something and wear it for two months but it helps! I get most of my stuff from Body Art Forms and they have a decent amount of discounts (I got a free calendar with one order that's loaded with coupon codes). But to be honest 6-8 weeks really doesn't feel that long. I didn't like waiting for my first few stretches but now I kind of like waiting; it gives me a chance to get used to my bigger lobes before moving on. That's why I'm staying at 2G for such a long time (I've been at this size since May and don't plan on stretching 'til at least the new year); I need to decide if I really want to go bigger.

I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

My friend start stretching her second holes (to 00g) 1 month after getting them pierced. She had no problems at all and she's now wearing proudly 00g. But her skin always been super stretchy!

Re: So hard to wait!

Well, I might try to go to at least 14g in about a month. I'm sittin at 16g right now, and when I put it in it I really didn't feel it stretch or anything. There is sooo much more cool stuff at 14g, than 16g. (I think) Plus I'm ready to get away from these little bitty barbells and stuff, the balls are killer to put on the ends.

@ Nic, I really want to get snakebites done too, right now money and parents are keeping from that. As well as the fact that I'm a musician. I do want to get my eyebrow pierced though, maybe I'll save that if my ears turn stubborn on me and I have to wait a really long time to go up to the next size.

Re: So hard to wait!

i went from a normal piercing to a 7/16 in only 3 months. just clean your ears and use oil/lube if you can. just do what you think you can take. you might have slight pain but thats okay. however if it is too much pain then i would suggest slowing down. if they happen to get infected just do salt water rinses and keep them super clean.

wants: 4g conch on both ears, 14 g septum or snakebites, lots of tattoos

Re: So hard to wait!

I would not advise going from standard to 7/16" in 3 months, and I hope you know that Hybrid.
Ear stretching should never be painful. It takes time, dedication and patience.
It's not a revolution, it's a lifestyle.

Haha, Yeah I'm not that stupid. I'm soo ready to get to 14g though. I really need to get me a couple more things in 16g to keep me distracted I guess lol.

EDIT: O yeah, and I've noticed my lobe is a little sore the last couple todays, is this normal, possibly just from sleeping on it?

Re: So hard to wait!

It's normal; piercings flare up, it happens. Just don't stretch it any time soon, and if it's really sore you might wanna do a sea salt soak. And if you have curved jewelry (like a ring or circular barbell) you might wanna swap it for a labret or straight barbell.

Yeah, it's a circular barbell right now. I need to get more jewelry, but I'm a broke college boy now, so only have one earring in 16g.
