Leaving jewelery out overnight?

At what size would this be advisable to give the lobes a breather?

I'm only at a 6 so i'm a bit weary on them potentially closing or greatly shrinking due to the small size.

Re: Leaving jewelery out overnight?

i too am curious about this. in my opinion, youve got a while to go til id suggest leaving them out over night. currently im at a 2 gauge. given, i recently stretched to a 2 gauge, but i took my plug out the other night. im not even sure why i did. i think i was just trying on other jewelery i had (they were also 2 gauge, but i think they were a few mm smaller)

but back to the point. i took out my two gauge for no more then 10-15 minutes, but there was a little bit of resistance putting it back in. (if i took it out for a minute or two there would have been NO resistance.

my opinion? dont take your jewlery out over night until your stretched and heald to bigger than a towo. what size? i dont know yet! :)

Re: Leaving jewelery out overnight?

I've taken my jewellery out over night now and again at all my sizes, even the really, really small ones right at the beginning.

As long as you've been at that gauge a few weeks, I've never found there's been any problems with leaving them out a while.
Current:
1.6mm Tongue
1.6mm Navel
10mm Lobies (Goal: 1/2")
1.2mm Right Tragus
1.2mm Nose
1.2mm Monroe

I don't take mine out at night and I'm at 2G. Most people probably start at about 00G or so.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Re: Leaving jewelery out overnight?

lol i never take my plugs out overnight. I keep hearing about people taking them out overnight but my ears would shrink to like 3/4 if i did overnight. I just take em out when i shower an massage them an i dont have ne problems with circulation or thinning. If ne thing they are getting thicker.
Left Lobe = 1 3/8in.
Right Lobe = 1, 3/8 in.

I take mine out overnight, but I have been at 5/8" for many years.

At 1 inch I take them out sometimes at night (if I'm sleepy and my plugs are inconfortable I just take them out haha), there's a little resistance in the morning but with some oil I can get them in easily.
