2g to 0g

The gap is too big! I can't use the taper, it's too big and it hurts like a b****, which isn't good (and from the material I've read, not normal and I shouldn't continue). I went to my local Home Depot for some plumbing tape, like teflon, I didn't find any. And I called a few piercing places, none of them carry 1g, 7mm, tapers/tunnels, I don't know what to do.

BTW, I lost of one of my 2g tunnels while walking to Home Depot for tape. So that's awesome. Should I put one of smaller tunnels (4g) in it? Will it shrink/downsize?

You can also use bondage tape, most adult stores sell it in large rolls (as well as Spencer gifts). Basically you want to look for a tape that only sticks to itself.
It's good to keep something in your ear. I can't say whether or not it will shrink or not but keeping something in your ear (that won't fall out) is the best idea until you can replace it.

i remember 2-0 g being the worst as well. tapers from hottopic lol. i waited until i took a shower at night and kept tugging on my ears a little in the shower to stretch them a little bit. as soon as i got out i lubed up my 0 g taper and slid it in, it was a little uncomfortable but not too bad since my ears were warm and stretchy. took some benadryl and just slept with the tapers in lol. put the plugs in in the morning.

I'm at 1G right now; I got one pair of plugs from bodyjewelleryshop.com and another from glasswearstudios.com. I didn't need any tapers; I stayed at 2G for like five months so I was able to put 1G right in. If you don't want to spend the money on 1G plugs you could just use tape, but make sure you stop for a while between 2G and 0G.

Those sites all had fancy plugs for the 1g, I honestly won't wear them for more than 2 months.

Okay so I lied a bit in the OP. I actually tried too hard to push a 0g tapper in my 2g hole and a tear happened; a big POP noise that made my heart jump and yes, there was blood. Because of that stupid act, I had to downsize to 4g to let the wound heal. So now I have a 4g hole in my left ear and a 2g (I didn't dare touch it) in my right ear, I look pretty dumb. Fitting.

My big problem is that if I leave my plugs in overnight I lose various parts of it: the o-rings, and even the plug itself and it promotes ear cheese which is gross. I've been going to bed with the plugs and only removing them to clean the area for several weeks, the thing is, after I judge that I passed the 'healing period' and begin removing the plugs before sleep, the hole still feels kinda tight when I put my jewelry back in the morning. Is this normal?

PS. I think I mentioned that the Home Depot by my house didn't carry PTFE (Teflon) tape. Well after a simple google search, I found out a similar type of store, a short 3 min car ride away sells it for 59 cents a roll. Go figure. So I'll just do the 2g to 0g gap with tape.

The only thing I can recommend is that you use tunnels instead of plugs, purely because they can't fall out. I always find them comfortable enough to sleep in as well =]
Other than that good luck with the stretching! I wish I was going up to 0g =[
