Getting back to the gap!

So, hey. I'm Chubbs. Here's my story and question! In my college days I had my ears gauged to a humble 00. Sadly, I was stretched improperly so there was some scarring. Since, I removed my pluggs and have been out for 9 years. Obviously, my ears are closed up and healed. Now, I'm wanting to go back to having my ears gauged! They aren't pierced anymore, and when I rub my lobes between my thumb and index finger, I feel a little ball in there....undoubtly my scar tissue. I called a local shop, and they suggested scalping....which I'm not game for. What am I in for just starting from point a to get back to point c? Can't I just get them pieced at 10g and stretch up? Thanks ya!

I would advise getting some jojoba oil or vitamin E oil and massaging your lobes for a while to help break up the scar tissue before you even begin. It would be fine to get your ears pierced at 10g and stretching up. Also, you are very lucky your ears healed all the way up, many people that stretch never get their holes to close up much less all the way from 00g.I don't see any reason why you can't break down the scar tissue and get pierced at 10g. Just make sure you wait around 6 months after getting pierced to strech anymore.

So, I wanted to give a little update since my first post. For the past few weeks I've been massing my lobes to break up the tissue as suggested above. About 2 weeks ago I decided to try and put a set of 14s in my ear.....went right in no problems. The only issue is that my holes are stretching very quickly, as in I'm now wearing 8s with still a little gap. Everyone I put bigger jewelry in, they just slid right in with no pain and with ease. Im not eating any weights in my ears or anything like that. I'm about to get some 6s, but I think I'll go with some flesh tunnels, since I think maybe the cbr's I'm buying might be forcing my ears to stretch so quickly. Anyone heard of this before?
