Getting pierced at 8g?

Hi guys!
I got a really pretty pair of 8g plugs for Christmas from my boyfriend, but I'll be stretching to 6g in a couple of weeks so they're not going to get a whole lot of wear... I was surprised because he doesn't really like that I'm stretching my ears and knows less than nothing about gauges, but managed to buy the right gauge for me.
I'm thinking about getting secondary lobe piercings so I can keep wearing them, but am I able to have them done initially at 8g without too many complications? I wouldn't be stretching them any further because I want to keep the jewelry in, but I don't want to compromise my main lobe piercings.
Is anybody able to give me a little bit of insight as to how this might affect my main stretches and if I can even safely get them done at 8g? I know I can't change the jewelry for a while but ideally I'd just have these plugs put in initially as they're surgical steel anyway.

My friend had 10g piercings. They were fine. Took longer to heal than normal, but pretty uneventful as far as I remember.
But what size d you plan on stretching your first holes to?
As I streched larger my other lobe piercings started moving down (and my lobe went up). Until I had to take them out. Theres three formerly well spaced piercings inside my large one now, they'd all gone before 5/8". Ones a bit funny, and turned into a very large slit. I was thinkig of re-doing them...
But yeah, I ramble.
Although you dont want to stretch the seconds, think about what you're going to do with the firsts. A giant hole isn't going to close up as easily if it ends up in the wrong place.
You could see if they fit inside earskins for now?

I was only planning on stretching the first lobe piercings to 0g, since I couldn't go any bigger with my job, so hopefully not so much that they'll shift the other piercings around. I don't have huge earlobes, either, so I probably couldn't go any bigger than 0g.

Well I had pretty much no earlobes and I got to 1"
They're not the thickest lobes, but considering what I started with, they're damn good

Probably didn't help the shifting thing.
I still had two lobe piercings at 1/2". Though I really should've taken one out by then, looking at picture..
I mean, you'll probably be okay. But if I did it again.. I would've waited until my goal size before putting in the other holes around it.

I was pierced at an 8g, but those are my only piercings. All I'd be worried about is if you want to stretch up to a much larger size it could conflict with the 8g hole. If you know for a total fact that you don't wanna stretch past like a 00 then you should be good.

When you are pierced at a larger guage it shouldn't affect the healing time. But since you only want to go to 0g, I don't see any reason why it would affect secondary piercings to much. Also, you could just wait til you make that last stretch before going and getting the secondary piercing. Like I'm going to stretch my left ear to 6g, then get my right ear pierced at 6g. After 6 months or so I'll continue stretching if I want. But yeah, I don't think that just going to 0g would affect them.

I got my lobes pierced at 10G and they healed really quickly (considering I'm a super slow healer). There won't be any complications from getting pierced at a larger size; I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone... saves a lot of stretching time.

Oh, I'm definitely not going any bigger than 0g... my earlobes are small as, even an 8g plug looks kind of big in them.
I got my ears pierced, just at 16g, because I didn't have the option to pierce at 8g unfortunately. The only reputable, clean place here doesn't do them at a large gauge, so I've resigned myself to just stretching the new holes once they're healed mid-year or so. Sigh. I'm so impatient. I'm surprised I've managed to look after my ears as well as I have been, haha...
Thanks for your help, guys.

I'd have replied sooner but the place I was staying over Christmas has no internet. I didn't miss it, strangely enough.

I have 5 holes in my lobes. The first 3 holes are rather closely spaced (hard to explain why...but it has to do with getting them pierced initially when I was 9 and then pierced again at 15)...anyway, I had to remove the 2nd earring when I started stretching and at this point I'm at 0g. The 2nd hole is definitely not usable, but I have the 3rd hole stretched to 6g. And probably the 3rd hole is actually where a 2nd hole would normally be placed. Anyway...I think they're spaced nicely?

yes, id say if you were to go get them pierced, make sure to inform your piercer that your not done stretching and have him/her pierce a bit farther up.
