Off topic...snakebites..

One side of my snakebite set is quite irritated...a knot with an irritating pain. Not an infection type of pain and it isn't red, bloody, or have any puss....just a knot that won't go away and kind of an irritated feeling with the ring is in. It's been 2 months and hasn't gotten any better. I'm wondering if it went through a nerve or something and won't go away unless I let it heal or what the deal is.
I know it doesn't have anything to do with my ears, but everyone here seems pretty knowledgeable.

Thanks in advance!

I'm immediately drawn to the fact that this has been going on for two months now, with no sign of any let up :/ If it was me I know I'd have taken that one out and let it heal already.

Obviously if it's irritated and painful you're going to be moving it and cleaning it a lot, and this could easily cause infection (as I'm sure you know). My advise would be to retire it and try again, when it's healed up, in a slightly different position =]

I hope this helped? And good luck!

How long have you had it pierced? Are you wearing a ring or a labret stud, and do you know what material it is? If it's a ring or if the labret is too long it might be moving around too much and causing irritation. Try to never touch it or move the jewelry at all, and get shorter jewelry or a labret instead of a ring.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!
