but it should be a childs choice when they get older whether or not they want their ears pierced.

Same here. My wife and I decided before our daughter was born that we would wait until she can make up her mind. If she comes to us at 6 or 7 years old and says she wants her ears pierced, we will be glad to allow her.
Anyway, nice work on the pic. Very well done.
