Another newb question!

Hi all 
Ok as I am Miss sensible As I have said before....doing this stretching the slow way.
I am wearing a 1.2mm plug (not sure of name.....has a screw in ball at the back and front looks like a nail head!) anyway.... No probs going in just smarted afterwards and was a little warm. I have been rinsing it down with a saline wash to make sure it's clean etc.
My question is this....despite it being a tiny stretch and my lobe is not red or oozing etc there is an ache at the back of my lobe...but when I turn it it's not Really that sore!!!!!! Is this normal?
